Camacarssy (pronounced kamikaze)

Gaming | Technology | Learning | Creative | Lifestyle | Apparel

During Covid-19, our family discovered an online business learning platform.

At first, we wondered what kind of value little old us could offer the world. Then, we realised we didn’t need to figure it out and just be ourselves.

At first, we thought no one would be interested in us. Then, we decided to have fun with it and teach our kids the value of believing in yourself, pursuing your passions and taking imperfect action.

We realised the opportunity to teach our kids real life lessons through the process of creating a business called “documenting our family journey”.

If we help just one other family to discover what’s possible for themselves and their lives, we will be happy. Feel free to hit the link above to find out more.

We believe gaming is a training ground for Learning, Problem solving, Persistence, Perseverance and Resilience.

Fall down, get back up again, quicker than the last time.

Experiment, don't give up, think creatively, work collaboratively, work as a team.

Find your unique self and voice online.

Express your true self and voice in person.

We learn through repetition and in not being afraid to keep trying again and again and again. When you transfer this capability to other areas of your life, you will be unstoppable.

Etymology (The Origin of Words) of Camacarssy

Camacarssy is a play on the word
Kamikaze (Japanese, from kami ‘divinity’ + kaze ‘wind’, originally referring to the gale that, in Japanese tradition, destroyed the fleet of invading Mongols in 1281.) and is pronounced the same way.

Its also a play on the word Camouflage (late 19th century (in sense ‘disguise, concealment’): French, from camoufler ‘to disguise’ (originally thieves' slang), from Italian camuffare ‘disguise, deceive’, perhaps by association with French camouflet ‘whiff of smoke in the face’. The military sense originated during the First World War.) and our namesake Carss.

Also a play on the sound and pronunciation of Chameleon (Middle English: via Latin chamaeleon from Greek khamaileōn, from khamai ‘on the ground’ + leōn‘lion’.)
