This is specifically how to transfer from an iPhone 8 to an iPhone XS, without using a computer.
If you have another iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with IOS 11, iPadOS 13, or later, you can use Quick Start to automatically setup your new device. Its been three years or more since we changed phones and you will know in the past, phone companies were very good at sending you an offer at about the 18 month mark into your 24 month contract, to try and entice you into locking you in for a further 24 months. But now, with so much competition, it was easier to transfer to another phone company get more value for money, with a Bring Your Own Phone (BYOB) option, and there was essentially nothing wrong with the phone except for maybe the data was full, and you experienced that the battery seemed to not last as long.... We have still not yet figured out if this is a strategy of the phone creators, that if you updated your phone, some kind of bug entered it to manage your battery or if really it was just down to your phone was full, therefore the battery drained quicker... Anyway fast forward we bit the bullet and took a month to month 12 monthly purchase of a new phone in anticipation of another new phone coming in 12 months time. But because we would normally rely on the phone company to do the transfer for us, this time, we did it on our own.... So let's go, first of all let's assume you have iOS 11 or later on your old phone and that you purchased a brand new phone with no previous owner. If it had a previous owner, you will want to make sure the phone is completely erased of the previous profile. To check this, refer to google. We recommend that you back up your old iPhone before starting the transfer process. You do this by going to Settings on your iPhone (this is the Cog icon), then go to iCloud Drive and hit back up now, you will need to make sure the charging cord is in your phone and that you are connected to Wi-Fi. Step 1 Take your new phone, enjoy the unwrapping experience and turn it on. Step 2 Make sure both the old phone and the new phone are side by side, on and unlocked (Remembering, this will require the owners thumb or pincode to open the old phone and we have added this because sometimes there is a more technologically minded partner in the family than the other, who might be doing these steps for the other person). Step 3 The old phone will prompt you to set up the new phone and then hit continue. Step 4 Hover the new phone camera over the old phone screen, a circle will appear and this will then take the information and start the transfer process. You will know you are finished when the new phone prompts you to transfer your data. Step 5 You will have two options - transfer from iPhone or download from iCloud. The best option for you is if a) you are happy with content on your old iPhone choose transfer from iPhone or if b) referring back to the pre-step, did you back up your old phone via iCloud. We chose option a on this occasion. Step 6 Dont touch either phone while the transfer process is happening, This is where we made ourselves a cup of tea or cup of coffee. Step 7 The phone will let you know the process is complete. You might need to update item such as your apple pay if you previously had this set up. Step 8 You may need to sign in to each of your apps for the first time and verify it is you also. Happy Days!

Michael Jordan is arguably one of the greats of his time. Great at overcoming adversity. Great at mastering his inner game. Great at focusing on his mental game through his entire career.
Why am I talking about Michael Jordan and why now? We watched the latest documentary on Netflix featuring Michael Jordan and the rise of the Chicago Bulls. We watched the final episode this week and we wanted to share some gold nuggets with you. Michael lost his father tragically and unexpectedly. This didn't stop him from pursuing his dream which surprisingly, wasn't to become the greatest basketball player there ever was, but to be the greatest baseball player there ever was. When his father died, he transitioned from basketball to baseball, honouring his promise to his father, and following through on his dream. Becoming a baseball player was like learning how to walk all over again. Despite knowing the game and playing the game as a child, making it as a professional, was literally a whole new ball game for him. The media had a "field" day. He was ridiculed. He was criticised. He overcame the criticism. He didn't allow that to stop him from pursuing his passion. He looked within to find the answers to his questions. But that got us thinking. Why would someone who is great at basketball, not just stick with what he knows? Maybe he reached a pinnacle, a comfort zone, a point where he felt he was no longer pushing himself to be more, maybe he reached a certain ceiling for himself at the time. Whatever the reason, we take our hat off to him, for what he did. He honoured the promise he made to his father. He pursued his real passion and when he realised he could do more, he felt the fire burning within, to come back to basketball. When we feel like we are no longer growing, it is up to us to challenge ourselves. It is up to us to step out of comfort zones and try something new, something different. The minute we commit to growing, something else becomes available. We can continue to keep bringing that edge, that extra something. It is an amazing watch. Michael Jordan not only committed to turning himself out. He did what he knew to do, to turn others out too. Maybe he did push people out of their comfort zones, but that feeling of uncomfortable let them all rise to the heights they did as a team. When you focus on what you want, when you look inside, when you're introspective, everything you have ever wanted will wait for you on the other side of your own self discovery. "Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, some make it happen." - Michael Jordan What are you getting for yourself in this blog, that you can apply to the way you approach gaming or literally anything else in your life?
